To eliminate the risk of fire or burns

caused by reaching over heated sur-

face units, cabinet storage space lo-

cated above surface units should be

avoided.

If cabinet storage or a range hood is

provided, distance A has to be at least

30" (75 cm). A range hood has to ex-

tend at least 5" (12,5 cm) beyond the

bottom of the cabinets.
